How to get to Hintertux in Tyrol

Arrival by plane

Munich Airport 2.5 hrs.

Salzburg Airport 2 hrs.

Innsbruck Airport 1.5 hrs.

From these airports you can take the airport taxi to Hintertux

It’s also possible to travel by train to Jenbach and then to change to the Zillertalbahn railway.

We can arrange a taxi from Mayrhofen. (on request)

Arrival by train

Take the train to JENBACH, where you transfer to the Zillertalbahn railway. You then travel to Mayrhofen, the final station on the line.

Hintertux is another 25 km from Mayrhofen.

You have the option of taking the bus to Hintertux or, alternatively, we can reserve a taxi for you.

Arrival by car

Inntal motorway A12 – Zillertal exit (Wiesing exit) – roundabout towards Fügen/Zillertal on federal road 169 – Mayrhofen – Hintertux.

Please note: Winter tyres are compulsory in Austria from 1 November until 15 April. As an additional safety measure we recommend that our guests also carry snow chains.

You will see the Alpenbad Hotel Hohenhaus in the centre of the village on the slope on the right, Hohenhausgasse leads directly to our front door.
